The major sign that it's time to stop swaddling is when your little one starts trying to roll over. After this point, it's unsafe to continue swaddling. During this time, your baby might be able to roll onto their tummy, but not be able to roll back over. Simply put, according to the AAP, there is a high risk of death if a swaddled infant rolls onto his belly.
