Our staff has been trained in the Montessori Program, are CPR/AED Certified, and we have a full-time Registered Nurse on-site. We also cater our children's breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Between the expertise of our educators and the experience of our staff, we're always developing and implementing new and innovative ways to promote growth and inspire the minds of every child in our care.

I believe in continuity of care, and love to support families onwards into the postpartum period, working to build confidence as they transition calmly into life as parents. I have experience of working with single mothers, mothers over 40, LGBTQ families and families conceiving with IVF. To teach children life skills that go beyond reading, writing, and math. Playing with toys helps develop motor skills and teaches lessons about sharing with friends. Singing songs while washing hands instills an interest in the arts while forging social bonds and educating children about the need for good hygiene. Each activity is designed with a specific lesson or outcome in mind. We provide a balance between choice and structured activities, between group and individual pursuits, and between teacher and child-directed experiences. We teach seasonally relevant lessons. For example, children learn about spiders in spring and farming in fall. And, we give families the tools to continue the education at home.

Baby Steps Daycare started off as a childhood dream of its Educational Director, Yuliya Malayeva. As a child she always gathered her friends and stuffed animals for some 'school-house play', as years progressed that fantasy became a reality. With hard work a dedication Yuliya has opened to doors to serve the Forest Hills Community. She went to Touro College where she received a Bachelor's degree in Early childhood Education, and then further proceed at Touro College to receive a dual Masters in Education and Special Education.

Our inspiration to start Pink and Blue Kids Salon is to provide quality services in the area of hairdressing and children's aesthetics, to children between 0 - 14 years of age. The main purpose of The Gym for Kids is to provide a place where kids from 2 to 12 years old are motivated to start and enhance their healthy habits and their desire for physical exercises through a fun and structured gymnastics program which improves flexibility, coordination, confidence as well physical and mental strength. In addition to our classes of gymnastics for all ages, tumbling and cheerleading we also offer birthday parties, private lessons, camps and more. The facility has brand new equipment, including gymnastics floor, beams, bars, rings, tumbling trampoline, and we also have mats of different shapes to be used in the progression of the learning process, and more.

The Gym for Kids is directed and operated by Oscar Rojas, who was a member of the Colombian National Team at the world championships of 1996 and 1997, Oscar has been coaching gymnastics for more than 20 years.
