Karen began working as a doula in 2008 for family and friends, over time, as her children have gotten older and more independent, she decided to receive additional training beyond her RN degree. She went through The Bradley Method® Teacher Training and became a Bradley Method® Childbirth Educator and Doula. Then she received further training through Birth Arts International's Doula Program. In 2017 she decided to start an official business. The Wonders of Birth is proud to offer pregnancy and birth services to families within an hour of Shelby North Carolina, including but not limited to Charlotte, Hickory, Gastonia, Lincolnton, Forest City, Kings Mountain, and Spartanburg, SC.
